In addition to attending many seminars, presentations, workshops, and hands-on training courses nationally and internationally, Prof. Dr. Emranul Islam has been actively involved in academic and clinical practice.

He began his journey at City Dental College as an Assistant Professor and Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department in 2008.

In 2013, he was promoted to become an Associate Professor and Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department and then a Professor at the same institution in 2021. With over 1000 students and followers, both local and international, he has made significant contributions to dental education and practice.

During 2008–2012, he served as the Chief Consultant at Labaid Dental Clinic at Dhanmondi, where he provided expert care to numerous patients. He introduced modern dentistry practices during his tenure there.

Additionally, he worked as a Consultant Dental Surgeon at BUET Health Complex from September 2017 to December 2020.

In 2012, he established his own chamber, “Dental Home,” in Banglamotor, Dhaka, where he continues to provide services.

Furthermore, he volunteers with the Bangladesh Oral Cancer Society, aiming to decrease the prevalence of oral cancer in the country.
